Our Policies and Procedures
Thank you for choosing our service. Our goal is to make your furry family member(s) as comfortable and as happy as possible while you are away.
We hope that you enjoy having your pet(s) pampered by Villaridge Pet Sitters, LLC. If your experience is satisfactory feel free to refer us to your friends and neighbors. If you have time, a letter and photo of your pet for our website is always appreciated.
The following is a list of some of our policies. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Your comfort is our goal!
- RESERVATIONS
Always confirm your reservation with us in writing, by hand-written note, fax or via email. We cannot accept a telephone message left as a reservation. This ensures that we won't miss your message, there will be no miscommunication and your pet won't be left alone. - PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT
For First time VACATION clients 50% is due at signing in order to secure dates and service.- For Regular Dog Walks 5 days payment is due in advance, remaining payments are to be made each Monday or the first (1st) of each Month. Villaridge Pet Sitters, LLC reserves the right to refuse service for non-payment. Services will resume as soon as payment is made.
- EXCEPT for holiday periods, cancellations may be made up to 24 hours in advance of first scheduled visit. After that period, there will be a cancellation fee of $10.
- For Overnight Stays, cancellations may be made up to 72 hours in advance of first scheduled visit. After that period, there will be a cancellation fee of $25.
- During Holiday Periods, 100% payment is due to secure your reservations; cancellations made 72 or more hours in advance will receive 100% deposit back; cancellation 48 hours or fewer in advance will receive 50% of their deposit back.
- FRIENDS AND FAMILY ACCESS
Villaridge Pet Sitters, LLC will allow for you to have friends and/or family to come visit your pet(s) however, Villaridge Pet Sitters, LLC is not responsible for any damages incurred to or in your home or to your pet during any time period that anyone other than Villaridge Pet Sitters, LLC has access to your home. PLEASE notify Villaridge Pet Sitters, LLC if there will be anyone else having access to your home. - ADDITIONAL FEES
There will be a $25.00/hour delivery fee if Villaridge Pet Sitters, LLC needs to pick up supplies for your pet (minimum 1 hour). Please remember to leave adequate (or more!) food, litter, leash etc. for your pet's needs. - HOLIDAYS
There will be an additional $20 surcharge for all major holiday periods and weekends including Christmas and New Years Eve. 100% of this fee is given to your sitter as an incentive to devote time to your pet and home on these special days. Regular daily walks do not occur on holidays, unless separately scheduled. - RETURN CHECK CHARGE
Client agrees to pay a $25 fee for each check returned by the client's bank regardless of the reason. - KEY PICK-UP AND RETURN POLICY
Villaridge Pet Sitters, LLC will retain two copies of your key at the time of contract signing. One key is kept in the company key safe for emergency use and the other key is checked out to your sitter. Villaridge Pet Sitters, LLC agrees to keep your key locked in a safe place with only secret coded identification to you and your address. If you choose to not let Villaridge Pet Sitters, LLC to keep keys, there will be a $10 charge to return them. - UNSECURED PETS
Villaridge Pet Sitters, LLC will not be held liable for free-roaming outdoor pets (i.e., cats, dogs left out in the yard, or with access to a doggy-door) in the event of illness, injury, loss or death. It is strongly advised that all pets wear an ID tag with a contact number and that they remain inside the home or confined for their own safety and welfare in your absence. - SECURED AREAS
It is the pet owner's sole responsibility to pet-proof any areas of the home and/or property to which the pet has access. This includes thoroughly inspecting fences, gates, latches, doors and other devices meant to keep pets inside of or away from any areas pets may be having access to. The pet sitter does not assume and has no liability for any injuries the pet may sustain while in its own home/property. - INCLEMENT WEATHER
If your company closes or you choose to stay home, please contact 703 732 8242 by 9 a.m. in order to allow time for your service to be canceled and avoid being charged for that day's service. During inclement weather we take every necessary step to make certain that your pet's personal care is uninterrupted. To ensure their safety during severe, inclement weather this may require us to bring them home with us or find alternative boarding options. - COMPLETION OF TRIP
Please remember to call as soon as you return from your trip. Otherwise, we will continue visiting to assure the safety and well-being of your pet. Additional trips will be added to your bill. Please call at ANY hour and leave a voice message that you have returned.
